Pottery Open Studio ( Single Session or 10-Session Card)

Open Studio is a time to practice skills you are working on in a class you are attending, or to work independently on your own projects. There is no formal instruction, so you should have at least one class (that includes glazing) under your belt before attending. Youth 14 and older who have attended a class at The Arts House may attend these sessions.

You must be enrolled in a 3-6 week beginner wheel throwing class or have completed one to use the pottery wheels.

$25 - Single Session. This can be paid online through this registration page or in cash, cheque or e-transfer at The Arts House. WHILE you are enrolled in a 6 week wheel or hand building class there is a discount of $5 per session.

$200 - Punch Pass. The 10-session punch pass offers a slight discount and allows you to attend any open studio that fits your schedule. Cards do not expire.

$10 - First Visit Orientation. If you are new to Open Studio and haven't attended a pottery class at The Arts House, you will be required to complete a first-visit orientation with the open studio monitor before beginning a project. It would be helpful for you to send an email to the monitor of the session you plan to attend ahead of time. Be sure to choose the “add-on” option for this when registering if you are paying online. Please read the Studio Operating Procedures (above) and watch the following video before your orientation:  https://youtu.be/Ciyr3-9RPs8

$50 - 10 kilograms of Clay. The cost of clay includes the cost of glazes and firing. All clay used at The Arts House must be purchased on site, or, cleared with the studio technician prior to use. There will be an extra fee associated with using clay purchased elsewhere.

Weather related and unscheduled closings are posted on FB in the TAH Potters group.
