Intro to Visual Art For Kids

This course will offer the fundamentals of visual art in a kid-friendly format.
The class will teach proportional drawing, perspective drawing,
painting in acrylic and watercolour. The course will touch on colour
mixing and colour theory.

Week 1: Proportional drawing
Learn techniques on how to draw an animal or self portrait with accurate representation.

Week 2:
Learn about Values using Acrylic paint or Charcoal drawing

Paint your animal or self portrait using acrylic paint while learning about (values) light and shadow. (Returning students have the option further their understanding of values using charcoal to complete their work).

Week 3: Perspective drawing
Understanding the importance of perspective in drawing. (Returning students will learn 2 point perspective)

Week 4: Intro to watercolour paint
Painting a nature scene using perspective drawing and watercolour paint
